Wearing The Leadership Shoe.

There is a popular saying that "leaders are made, not born", just as the reverse "leaders are born, not made"  holds saliency. In life we all born leaders. A leader is not just the person who is at the head of the chain of command, or place of authority. No.
As long as you have the breath of life in you, you are a leader. How?  In life the things we do, wether positive or negative, one way or the other  affects people around us. Be it our immediate family, friends, colleagues at work, strangers we meet on the streets, etc. There are people who look up to us, watching how we do things, our life styles, way of talking, dressing, eating and even the
way we gesture.  We inspire them, we are leaders to them and the Leadership Shoe is on our feet to lead them either to the right or wrong direction.
If this is so, then we must be conscious of the things we do daily, and all the time. Why?   Because you don't know which of your follower is  watching or observing you. As A Father, the way you lead in your home and how you treat your wife, determines how Your Sons will  treat their wives tomorrow . As A Mother, the way you treat your husband, and take care of your  home determine how your daughters will make their homes too when they grow up and get married.
The Leadership Shoe you are putting on now, is for a purpose. It's left for you to  make up your mind on the kind of Leader You want to be, and the kind of Leader you want to be remembered  as. Is it a leader who changed lives positively or negatively?  Perhaps you may ask : " what really are these qualities a good leader must possess?"
These are the qualities that enable him/ her to become a person others will love to  follow.
---- A good Leader must always understand.
---- A good Leader must always listen.
---- A good Leader must always forgive. He / she doesn't go about bearing grudges.
---- A good Leader must always encourage.
---- A good Leader must always motivate and not demoralise.
---- A good Leader must always appreciate.
---- A good Leader must always give a fair and decisive judgement.
---- A good Leader must always be dedicated.
---- A good Leader must always show love and care to people around them. etc.

Albert Schweitzer said,  "The only ones among you who will really be happy are those who have sought and found how to serve".
Find out how you can serve and make impacts. You can serve with your money, your smile, your hug,  your words, your care, and your time. In service nothing can be said to be too  small.
