PATIENCE

There are things in life that require more time than others. Time to blossom, to develop, to grow, to mature… And if we don’t learn the art of patience, by allowing life to follow its natural course, chances are that we will continue to force and resist the natural flow of things, inflicting a lot of unnecessary pain onto ourselves and onto those around us.

Here are some inspiring quotes on patience, quotes that will make you rethink the way you live your life, and hopefully bring a lot more peace into your life.

1. “Patience is not just about waiting for something… it’s about how you wait, or your

10 Things Happy People Understand pt2

6. They show up for life
Happy people are present in every aspect of their lives. They will not be on their phones when having lunch with you. They give activities and people their full attention. They understand that showing up and being present is a major part of being alive. They refuse to let their lives pass them by because they were too busy looking at a screen.

They show up. They listen. They pay attention. Happy people make everyone feel like they were heard.

7. They don’t have self limiting beliefs
Happy people understand that where they are in life is largely because of what they believe is possible for themselves. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood we lose the ability to dream big. Happy people have held on to those dreams.

They believe that they are enough. They are smart enough. They are pretty enough. They are enough to fulfill the dreams that lie within them.

The truth is: Belonging starts with self-acceptance. Your level of belonging, in fact, can never be greater than your level of self-acceptance, because believing that you’re

10 Things Happy People Understand pt 1

All of us have been around people who are genuinely happy. Happiness I have found, is not something that always comes naturally. Actually, it takes work. It requires us to deliberately and consistently take stock of our lives.

There are ten characteristics that seem universal to happy people. It is a list that I look over often when I find myself struggling with a situation. It helps me to realize that happiness really is a state of mind. We must train our minds towards happiness.

1. They are comfortable with uncertainty
Happy people understand that uncertainty is a part of life. They cannot always control what the next chapter of life will bring, but they can learn to be comfortable with it.

Why Do We Get Hiccups?

Hiccups are so common in our lives that we hardly wonder as to why we get them. It seems like they come and go at their own will. Hence, we don’t give it much of a thought.

However, most of us have noticed that hiccups occur when we try to eat or drink something too fast. This happens to be the most common cause of hiccups. It is because the muscles that help us breathe are located between the ribs and diaphragm.

When we eat or drink something in a hurry, our stomach becomes irritated and

Do No Limit Yourself

Do Not Limit Yourself By  Catherine Pulsifer
My Grandmother was always encouraging me to set goals and work hard to achieve them. She would tell me not to be a follower and not to set limits on what I could achieve. She truly believed that there were no limits that you could achieve whatever you wanted. She once told me the following story about a radish and a milk bottle, it was a story that I have never forgotten.

A Farmer's Lesson In Life
A farmer won a first prize at the country fair for his huge radish that was the exact shape and size of a quart of milk bottle. Many were curious as to how the farmer was able to grow this radish that was the exact shape of a milk bottle.

Reasons Sweet Potatoes Is Good For Your Health

They are high in vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 helps reduce the chemical homocysteine in our bodies. Homocysteine has been linked with degenerative diseases, including heart attacks.

•They are a good source of vitamin C.

While most people know that vitamin C is important to help ward off cold and flu viruses, few people are aware that this crucial vitamin plays an important role in bone and tooth formation, digestion, and blood cell formation. It helps accelerate wound healing, produces collagen which helps maintain skin’s youthful elasticity, and is essential to helping us cope with stress. It even appears to help protect our body against toxins that may be linked to cancer.

5 CRITICAL LESSONS FOR SUCCESS

1: How to Make Important Decisions
What good would it do to make a stop “on the journey of life” in a direction that it is almost completely opposite of where you're headed? When you’re faced with a difficult decision, you must always ask yourself, which decision best supports my long-term goals? Which decision builds on where I’m trying to go? It’s like good debt versus bad debt. Debt that is good is debt that can produce for your future, things like stocks and bonds. A good decision will produce good results in your future. A bad decision is like bad debt, long after the decision is made, or

Army Seizes Power In Zimbabwe—

Zimbabwe’s military has read out a statement after taking over the national broadcaster, ZBC, saying it has taken action to “target criminals”.
However, it said this was not “a military takeover of government” and President Robert Mugabe was safe.
Heavy gunfire and artillery were heard in northern suburbs of the capital, Harare, early on Wednesday.
Zimbabwe’s envoy to South Africa, Isaac Moyo, earlier dismissed talk of a coup, saying the government was “intact”.
The statement read out by the military came hours after soldiers overran the headquarters of ZBC. An officer in uniform said: “We wish to assure the nation that his excellency the president… and his family are safe and sound and their security is guaranteed.”

Is Your Mind Blind?

We all too often refer to the state of blindness as a physical disability. And, we all know how debilitating this physically challenging state can be for those who had sight previously in their life and went blind because of an accident.

But, did you know that blindness could also affect people who have perfectly good eyesight?

1. Struggles Eliminated
I am thinking specifically of those types of people who may not have had a lot in their lives, and who constantly struggled just to put food on their table, or to pay those recurring monthly bills.

And, down the road, some of these people had the good fortune to be assisted to do more

Gandhi's 10 Rules For Changing the World

We would take the first today and the other half tomorrow. Mahatma Gandhi needs no long introduction. Everyone knows about the man who lead the Indian people to independence from British rule in 1947.

So let’s just move on to some of my favorite tips from Mahatma Gandhi.

1). Change yourself: First you must yourself. Make yourself the best, finest product before you come to change other. We can't use unclean water to get a bowl cleaned at all. To help change other, the same, one need to begin the changing from their own at very first.

2. Be in control: Learn to control yourself. Train your mind to be balance and stable. One must get oneself under control because Gandhi believes that no one can infere you without our consensus.

3). Compassion: Learn to forgive and let it go. Learn to be happy with others' success. Learn

Lupita Nyong’o: Speaking Out About Harvey Weinstein

By LUPITA NYONG’O
OCTOBER 19, 2017
I have been following the news and reading the accounts of women coming forward to talk about being assaulted by Harvey Weinstein and others. I had shelved my experience with Harvey far in the recesses of my mind, joining in the conspiracy of silence that has allowed this predator to prowl for so many years. I had felt very much alone when these things happened, and I had blamed myself for a lot of it, quite like many of the other women who have shared their stories.

But now that this is being discussed openly, I have not been able to avoid the memories resurfacing. I have felt sick in the pit of my stomach. I have felt such a flare of rage that the experience I recount below was not a unique incident with me, but rather part of a sinister pattern of behavior.

I met Harvey Weinstein in 2011 at an awards ceremony in Berlin, while I was still a student at the Yale School of Drama. An intermediary introduced him to me as “the most powerful producer in Hollywood.” As an aspiring actress, I was of course eager to meet people in the industry but cautious about strangers, and the intentions of men in general. So I tried to vet this famous producer by asking my dinner-table companions what they knew of him. A woman who was a producer herself cautiously advised me to “keep Harvey in your corner.”
