Time to Question The Pot Bellied Amaechi’s Sanity – Reno

That Rotimi Amaechi is a confirmed liar is not in doubt. What is in doubt is his sanity. In recent comments to the media, Rotimi Amaechi kept referring to a certain missing $49 billion which he claims were monies missing from the NNPC account that were not paid into the federation account under former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Said Amaechi, “As chairman of the Governors Forum, when I started fighting with President Jonathan, I was clear about what the fight was all about. I was the first Nigerian to raise the alarm about the former CBN governor’s letter to President Goodluck Jonathan that $49 billion was missing from the NNPC account and not paid to the federation account. If they had returned it, we would not be in recession. If that $49 billion was there plus other recovered looted funds, perhaps, we would have hit $50 billion. With $50 to $60 billion, you don’t need to look for dollars to buy.” Nigerians will recall that this discredited allegation was made by the

Nollywood Actress Get Justice, As Army Jails Soldier For Assault

Port Harcourt – The Nigerian Army has jailed one Pvt. Suleiman Olamilekan to 28 days with hard labour for allegedly assaulting a Nollywood actress, Ebere Ohakwe.

Col. Aminu Iliyasu, the Army’s spokesman, 6 Division in Port Harcourt said on Thursday that the soldier would also forfeit his one month salary to the Federal Government.
He said the unprofessional conduct of the soldier contravened the army’s uncompromising

President Muhammadu Buhari And The 20-month Jinx

Permit me to begin this contribution with an interesting and historically accurate observation made by the Vanguard Newspaper on 3rd February 2015.

They wrote, "Between 1983 and 1985, Peter Onu of Nigeria was Acting Secretary-General of the OAU. At the 1985 Summit in Addis Ababa, statesmen like Julius Nyerere, President of Tanzania, lobbied for his election as substantive Secretary-General.

However, there was a major stumbling block to Peter Onu’s candidature: his Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, was campaigning against him.

Buhari claimed: “This generation of Nigerians and indeed future generations have no other country than Nigeria.” But when the crunch came, his allegiance to Nigeria disappeared. In the election of the OAU Secretary-General in 1985, Buhari voted against Nigeria and for Niger instead. He secured the election of Ide Oumarou, a Fulani man from Niger; as opposed to an Igbo man from Nigeria. By so doing, Buhari became the first and only Head of State in the history of modern international relations to vote against his country in favour of his tribe".

Graphically illustrated and succinctly put, that is the mindset of the quintessential General

I WANT TO GO TO LONDON ... TO SEE BUHARI By Reuben Abati

When 15 million plus Nigerians voted for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 General elections, their expectation was that he would be available to serve them 24/7/365, and that those who fielded him as their candidate had done their home work to avoid what is curiously becoming the Katsina problem in Nigerian politics. Katsina! But we have now found ourselves in a situation whereby our President is now in London, for more than one month sir, ma, and we are here, and we have an acting President, who according to everybody, including the extremists and the mischievous, and the politically partisan, is beginning to try his best, with

Life And Friendship

Life is like a moving train with many stops. You will meet many people in your journey of life. There will be many departing never to meet again but there will never be a meeting without departing in life. Every friend ends with END. There are purposes and time limits for everybody you're meeting in your journey life. Some are blessings, while some will be lessons. Some are for the season while some are for a reason. Some will make you while some will break you. Some are temporary, while some will be part of your life. Some you wish they never leave and some you cursed the day you meet them in life. Never find your happiness in people, you will

All the Noise About Megawatts

By Josef Omorotionmwan
THE subject for today is Electricity. When it comes to considering whether this is a lesson in Physics or English Language, the latter will be easily preferred, given the fact that this writer has two left hands on issues of electricity.

Again, this perfectly situates the subject within the Nigerian context as Nigeria is perhaps the only place where people do not practise what they preach. This write-up is preceded by two testimonies that we may have shared elsewhere:

First testimony: We had lived in the New York and New Jersey areas of the United States of America, for close 10 years. The light did not blink any day. We took their “NEPA” for granted. Things remained that way until just before midnight on that fateful day in the terrible winter of 1977, when their “NEPA” broke down. It was a total eclipse, of the light. That was the collapse of everything – their lives, transportation system, industries, manufacturing, commerce and, indeed, everything.  Darkness and blackness met confusion at the gate and there was

Lai Mohammed And The APC Are Uncommonly Gifted Liars!

First published in Saturday Thisday the 11th of February, 2017.

By Reno Omokri

Last week, Lai Mohammed, the infamous minister of information (if you can call what he does information) denied being a liar and rhetorically asked newsmen interviewing him to “give me one thing that I have said which is not true."

When I read that, I thought that perhaps he had repented from his demonic past time of lying. But it appears I spoke too soon and I was too hopeful!

I say this because just days after justifying himself and in response to the US congress citing Nigeria as "as the most dangerous place for Christians in the world", Lai Mohammed had the following to say:

"Such fallacies like the Islamization of Nigeria, the killing of Christians by Muslims, the labelling of Nigeria as the most dangerous place for Christians in the world".

I do not know about the Islamization of Nigeria and I doubt that President Muhammadu Buhari has such intentions, but to say that "the killing of Christians by Muslims" is a 'fallacy' is a special kind of lie that could only have proceeded from the lips of a man whose own parents

Dealing With The Pain Of Failed Marriage

Failed marriage doesn't mean a failed life. Never allow a broken relationship to break your life. Not everybody plan to get into a marriage that will end up in divorce. But when love turns to misery and it's demanding for dear life, people look for the nearest exit. Sometimes we ignorantly leave someone who has 70% of what we need and go to someone who has 30% of what we want. What you need is more important than what you want. Marriage is never a bed of roses, conflicts are inevitable between husband and wife. There is no such thing as a

How To Wear High Heels Without Pain :8 Tips That Really Work

It  is the age old question asked by every shoe-loving woman at one point or another: How to wear high heels without pain. Is it even possible? Are we related to a “grin and bear” mentality for life in the name of looking—and feeling—amazing?  Turns out, a fabulous pair sky-high shoes and pain-free feet aren’t mutually exclusive.

We spoke to podiatry expert Dr. Catherine Moyer, who gave us eight tips for how to continue to wear stylish shoes—without paying the painful price.

1. Make sure you’re wearing the right size shoe.
The number one mistake women make would probably be not having the right shoe size for their foot. Your foot size changes over the years, even as much as one full size, especially

10 TOP WRONG REASONS PEOPLE GET MARRIED

Why people get married for the wrong reasons

Every weekend is always locked up with wedding ceremonies. It took me time to know the difference between wedding and marriage while growing up, I used to think it meant the same. Am sure someone out there doesn’t know too.
Wedding is a one day event to tie the marriage knots. Marriage is forever, like for real, its forever till death do apart (in the olden days though). These days, divorce is more celebrated than marriage. Hardly do we see the media talk about 25years in marriage and the likes but they are quick to mention and celebrate divorce.

By the way, People get married for wrong reasons and are soon out of it in minutes. People tend to like themselves so much and the next thing, they are marking the wedding date and
