OPINION, TUES. July 25:Lunch in London, anxiety in Nigeria byReuben Abati

"What’s gwan inna wa cwantry?”
“What language is that?”
“English of course.”
“Sounds like Creole to me. Why don’t you just talk straight?”
“Nobody talks straight in this country anymore.”
“I still talk straight. I can’t start twisting my tongue because some people have lost it.”
“Okay, I was asking what is going on in our country?”
“Is that a direct question or a sly comment?”
“Just answer the question”
“What I know is that we are now truly, a country of hyenas, jackals and small animals. A big animal kingdom, but when the First Lady Aisha Buhari drew attention to this, recently, we all started screaming that she was rather condescending but right now, with what I am seeing and hearing, I believe she will be vindicated in the long run.”
“I see."
“We, the people are obviously the small animals. In an animal kingdom, the bigger animals do what they like with the smaller ones, and they dare not complain.”
“But you still haven’t answered my question”
“My friend, why must I always be the one to tell you what is going on in this country? When you want to be mischievous, that is when you ask funny questions. Are we not in this country together? Don’t you listen to the news like everyone else? So, why should I become your newspaper and internet combined. Stop it. But for just this last time, I will use my church mind to tell you that the latest development is photography as a tool of governance. Some APC Governors and party leaders just visited President Muhammadu Buhari in London. They

PRESS STATEMENT: RESPONSE TO GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA FROM CHIEF FEMI FANI-KAYODE

Rochas Okorocha’s jibe at Chief Femi Fani-Kayode following the wide doubts expressed by Nigerians at the authenticity of the photograph emanating from the APC governors’ purported visit to Muhammadu Buhari in London is a sign of desperation to serve the evil purposes for which the Imo State governor has been procured.

This is true to the character of Okorocha who is well known for his garrulousness which he ridiculously mistakes for oratory, with which, unfortunately, he has been misleading the good people of Imo State.

Okorocha is nothing but a dirty, cheap, fat, ugly frog that mistakes himself for a monkey simply because he can hop. A man who serves and defends a president and government that have murdered, insulted, marginalized and humiliated more of his own Igbo people than any other government in the history of Nigeria outside of the civil war.

For a man whose party has unprecedentedly threatened to arrest the moment he steps out

Not Just Movies, But a President Elected in Nigeria Must be Consumed in NigeriaBy Reno Omokri

First published in my column #TheAlternative in Saturday Thisday of July 22, 2017.

I am sure my readers were rudely shocked out of their reverie by the eponymously named Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, who announced to a bewildered nation that the Federal Government, whose spokesman he is, is making preparations to stop Nollywood and Nigerian pop stars from shooting movies and videos abroad.

Said Lai Mohammed, “This government has agreed that henceforth, whatever we consume in Nigeria in terms of music and films, must be made in Nigeria. We cannot continue to go to South Africa or any other country to produce our films and then send them back to be consumed in Nigeria."

It was perhaps lost on Lai Mohammed as he spoke that his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari, who was elected in Nigeria by Nigerians is not being consumed in Nigeria.

And while we were still grappling with the absurdity of Lai Mohammed's comments, his colleague in office, Kemi Adeosun, added to the comedy that this government has become by announcing that the Buhari administration plans to tax beggars!

According to the honorable (?) minister, "You are supposed to pay taxes even if your means of income is begging."

This is the reason why I have said that a polytechnic graduate like Kemi Adeosun is not sufficiently qualified to handle our complicated economy! It doesn't matter if the polytechnic

THE APC CULT OF DEATH By Femi Fani-Kayode

"The Supreme court did not raise a dead PDP, they only brought out the rotten corpse of a dead PDP for all to smell the bad odour"- Alhaji Lai Muhammed, Minister of Information, Daily Post, 15th July 2017.

I am trying my best to remain magnamonious in victory and to remain restrained but this diaper-wearing, foul-breathed, big-nosed and lying APC Minister of Information has once again brought out the worst in me.

Not only has he told yet another dirty and collosal lie but his deeply offensive and disrespectful characterisation and depiction of our great party the PDP is as inappropiate as it is provocative.

The truth is that it is the APC that are the stinking corpses and the rotting cadavers and not the PDP. They smell like rotting Chinese fish and a Calcutta brothel all rolled into one.

They stink to high heavens and they have fouled up the Nigerian space with their compelling and overwhelming stench and their fecal aroma.

They should bury their heads in shame. They sought to bury the PDP but by the grace and

I Cannot Be Intimidated Says Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has declared that nobody in the North can intimidate him.

He declared that “it is fire for fire”.

This was contained in a statement made available to DAILY POST Friday night by his media adviser, Jude Ndukwe.

Ndukwe said his principal read a press statement by some “self-styled Arewa Youth Forum in Abuja under the leadership of one Gambo Gujungu wherein they accused the Ekiti State governor, Dr Ayodele Peter Fayose and former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, of being used by southwest leaders to destabilize the country and pitching the rest of the country against President Muhammadu Buhari and the north”.

“While we normally do not respond to the antics of juvenile delinquents exhibiting a regrettably deep sense of flippancy and non-challance in a desperate attempt to warm themselves into public spotlight, we find it highly imperative to put the record straight this time round because we know that the macabre dance of these misguided youths is a

Buhari's situation Has Not improved By Femi Fani-Kayode

I am constrained to tell the Nigerian people that President Buhari is NOT better and he will NEVER return as President.

The truth is that his situation is pathetic and critical.

Acting President Osinbajo should STOP the lies!

Nigerians have a RIGHT to know the truth.

I call on the cabal to stop the cover up and show us our President!

I challenge them to put him in front of a camera and let him talk!

I challenge them to let him tell us what country he is in, who the leader of that country is, what

Fayose: Buhari’s wife hurried trip to London confirms my claim, insists President is on life-support

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that the hurried trip embarked to London by First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari was a confirmation that President Muhammadu Buhari’s health had deteriorated, saying that “It is six days since I addressed the press and today, I still insist that the President is indeed on life-support.”

Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka said the governor, who addressed some journalists in Lagos on Monday, insisted that “The worsen condition of the President’s health necessitated the hurried trip of our First Lady, Her Excellency Aisha Buhari to London and it is hoped that she will have the courage to tell Nigerians the truth this time around.”

He said “no one is interested in President Buhari’s death. Rather, we are interested in freeing Nigeria from the hands of these few individuals who are presently holding the country to ransom.”

Governor Fayose, who maintained that President Buhari must resign, said; “Today is the 184th day of 2017. Out of these 184 days, our President has spent 107 days abroad taking care of his health.

“How does a nation move forward when its President is spending the better part of his time
