New facts have emerged following the killing of a female Air Force personnel, Oladipupo Solape, by her colleague and lover, Lt. BA Kalu, who shot her dead last weekend after accusing her of dating other men.
A close friend of the killer officer who is also an officer narrated that Lt. Kalu had often told his close friends that he would kill the late Solape because she was sleeping with other men including his superiors.
The close friend who did not want his name in print hinted that shortly before Lt. Kalu
murdered Solape to death, he had warned her several times that he would kill her and himself if he found out that his suspicions were true.
It was gathered that Lt. Kalu who is an Aircraftman had accused the Badagry, Lagos State-born Solape of double dating before eventually snapping and shooting her to death on the morning of Saturday, March 11, 2017, in Makurdi, Benue State.
Apart from the revelations by the close friend, Kalu whose uses Lieut. Kal (Am Bennifinho) as his Facebook name, had given hints of his intentions on his wall a few hours before he killed the pretty Solape.
On a post done four hours before the murder, he had written:
"My last night as an airman… ask about me later and hear my story… you wud (would) b (be) surprised…RIP young blood… I wish myself dat (that)…”
The killer loverboy who was initially thought to have committed suicide after killing Solape is said to be currently in detention after he was arrested.
The Nigeria Airforce Director of Public Relations and Information, Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa, who confirmed the arrest of Lt. Kalu, said investigations were ongoing into the matter to ascertain the motives of the suspect.
“An airman and an airwoman were involved. They had a love relationship which resulted in the shooting. We do not yet know what transpired between them.
