PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI’S AGENDA: EMERGENCY PRAYER ALERT FOR THE CHURCH AND THE NATION

Attention:
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
The Federal House of Representatives
The State Houses of Assembly
All Church Leaders
All Muslim Leaders
All Nigerians

Dear Nigerians

Our attention has been drawn to the recent Press Conferences by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN, Ondo State, 2/6/16), and by the Coalition of Christian Groups in Nigeria (Fri. 3/6/16), and other Media Publications, concerning recent happenings in our country.   Particularly we make reference to the recent lopsided Appointments and Retirements of Nigerians in public offices and Institutions made by the President, and we are saying that by these acts, the President is unwittingly creating an atmosphere of insecurity, distrust and disaffection in the polity.  Everything seems to point to one thing: An On-going Northern Islamization of the nation Nigeria by the President, without regard to the Oath which he swore to uphold the secularity of the Nigerian nation and Freedom of Worship for all.
Mr President, Sir, you were voted in as a proper anti-dote to the endemic and institutionalized corruption that pervaded the nation, (and is still rampant), but it is obvious now that that is not your primary agenda. From East to West, and North to South, many Christians, non-Muslims, and many peace-loving Muslims are worried about the sectional way you are pursuing your national mandate:  It seems apparent to all that you are executing the agenda of the Islam In Africa Organization, as appointed by the OIC.
(Ref:  Abuja Declaration of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) AND Islam in Africa Organization (IAO) 1989, published by Emenike on Nairaland, August 2nd 2014, www.nairaland.com/1840446/abuja-declaration-oic-1989.)
Sir, remember that as President, you are the father of all Nigeria, not of an ethnic section, and not of a particular religious group.  Your actions must be seen to be fair to all, but that is not how it is now.
The following matters are common knowledge, and were raised in the afore-mentioned Press Conferences (and other News Media), and they point to a Polarization of the Country by the policies of your Government (and your Advisers).  WE NOW PRESENT THEM AS PRAYER POINTS FOR THE CHURCH AND FOR THE NATION, because they cause serious concerns to the majority of Nigerians who are non-Muslims.
1. THE APPARENT ISLAMIZATION AND NORTHERNISATION OF ALL 16 KEY SECURITY POSITIONS IN THE COUNTRY. The situation is worrisome, and as at July it was as follows, one-sided, all Northern Muslims, mostly Hausa/Fulani alone:
*  Chief of Army Staff – Northern Muslim, Hausa/Fulani
*  Police Inspector General – Northern  Muslim, Hausa/Fulani
*  Minister of Defense – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  Minister of Internal Affairs – Northern Muslim, Hausa/Fulani

*  D.G, Dept. of State Service – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  Chief of  Staff – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  ADC to the President – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  CSO to the President – Northern Muslim, Hausa/Fulani
*  Private Secretary to President – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  D.G, Customs – Northern Muslim, Hausa/Fulani
*  D.G, EFCC – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  D.G, Nigeria Prisons – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  D.G, Immigration – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  Minister of Petroleum – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
*  Minister of FCT – Northern Muslim,  Hausa/Fulani
Note:  All Northerners, no Southerner and no Christian

ADD TO THESE:
Head of National Assembly /Senate President – Northern Muslim
Head of Judiciary / Chief Justice of Nigeria – Northern Muslim, Hausa/Fulani
Head, Federal Courts of Appeal – Northern Muslim, Hausa/Fulani
(Thus The National Security structure of the nation is firmly in the hands of our Northern Muslim Hausa / Fulani brothers alone, to the exclusion of all other ethnic blocks in Nigeria. This is why we ask, “ARE THE REST OF US, NIGERIANS, SAFE?”)
In mid -July, about 33 Commissioners of Police were appointed, close to 30 of them were Muslims.  Also 18 AIGs were appointed, 14 of them are Northern Muslims.
PRAYER POINT:  Let the God of Heaven intervene, and establish equity, and guarantee safety for all Nigerians.
2. EDUCATION SECTOR AFFECTED
a) The New 9 – Year Basic Education Curriculum On Religious Studies:  The Federal Government of Nigeria through The Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) recently revised the curriculum of the 9 – Year Basic Education Programme.  “Part of the revised curriculum is the omnibus subject called Religion and National Values… said to be the merging of formerly independent Subjects such as Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Civic Education, Social Studies, and Security Education into one compulsory subject.”  This subject required Christian children to learn, memorize, and recite the glorious Quaran to pass their exams, and the prescribed text book teaches the children that Jesus, [prophet Isa (phuh)] did not die, nor was crucified, etc.  Talk of Islamization!  Who designed this curriculum, and what was in their mind?  Although this Bill for this new curriculum may have been dropped, yet the proponents are still around, and in power, and plotting other means of Islamising the Educational sector.
b) Islamization of The Key Departments of The Education Sector:   Recently, the President’s attention went to the Education Sector.  “Professor Ishaq Oloyede, a prominent Islamic fanatic who said he was not aware Christians are being attacked and killed is now to head JAMB replacing Prof. Ojerinde, a Baptist.  Four Muslims were not replaced in the bulldozing of the ministry, but left to continue.  Out of the 17 offices, 9 new replacements are Muslims, and 4 retained are Muslims.   13 out of 17 heads are now Muslims;  NUC Muslim, JAMB Muslim; TETCOM Muslim…”  (Thisday 6th August 2016, page 45); UBEC Muslim; etc.   There is a grand plan for Islamization of Education in this country.  Where is the fairness in all these?  Where is Federal Character? Why is the Nigerian Constitution breached with impunity contrary to Section 14(3) of 1999 Constitution as amended?
PRAYER POINT:  Ask the God of Heaven, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to reverse this, and establish fairness and justice; and take over our Educational Institutions, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
3. “PRESIDENT’S FIAT /UNILATERAL DECISION TO ENLIST NIGERIA IN THE 34 NATIONS MUSLIM /ARAB COALITION”, WITHOUT CONSULTING NIGERIANS, OR AT LEAST THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY.
Musa Asake, General Secretary of the Coalition of Nigeria Churches, as quoted by Vanguard Newspaper, Reference Premium Times January 2014, said:  “This singular gesture of Mr President betrays so much, and tends to confirm our fears that underneath everything this Government is doing, there is an agenda.”
4. INTRODUCTION OF SHARIA INTO THE CONSTITUTION:  “Despite the huge ethnic, cultural, religious and racial diversities in Nigeria “…”some forces have been working surreptitiously over the years to supplant Liberal Democracy with Sharia as the “source of legislation” in Nigeria, over and above the Constitution”.
PRAYER POINT:  The Sharia Commissions in the Northern States should be called to order.  They must respect the constitution of the country which clearly states that Nigeria is a secular state.   Also, any Bills in the National Assembly to include sections of Sharia in the Constitution should be discountenanced.
5. THE CONSIDERATION OF ESTABLISHING “FREE VISA” ARRANGEMENT WITH ISLAMIC D8 NATIONS. These countries are: Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Turkey, and of course, Nigeria.   What is the purpose of this Free Visa arrangement?  Think of the implications.  Are we now an Islamic nation, or, are we being dragged there?  Are we inviting these nations to come and take over our country?
PRAYER POINT:  Oh Lord, arise, and turn the counsel of Ahithopel to foolishness, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
6. THE ISSUANCE OF NATIONAL LICENSE TO JAIZ BANK TO OPERATE ISLAMIC INTEREST-FREE BANKING IN THE 36 STATES OF THE FEDERATION.   Interest-free Banking would be good without strings attached, but when you insist that it must be Sharia-compliant, it is to induce people from other faiths to deflect, based not on conscience, but on monetary consideration.
PRAYER POINT:  Oh Lord, arise and save your people!
7. “KADUNA STATE RELIGION BILL”:  In summary this aims to stop Christians from passing out tracts, and listening to Christian cassettes.  IT AIMS TO STOP CHRISTIANS FROM EVANGELIZING, which is the primary assignment given by Jesus to the Christians when He instructed the disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. The current Kaduna ill-advised State Religious Law is an affront on democracy.
PRAYER POINT:  Oh Lord, dump this Bill, in Jesus’ name! Amen.
8. “ABDUCTION AND FORCEFUL MARRIAGE OF UNDER-AGED CHRISTIAN GIRLS”:  Such practice is a violation of the constitutional rights of the girls and the Nigerian Law.  (Sun Newspaper 16th March, 2016).  This must stop, in Jesus’ name! Amen.
9. RAMPAGE OF FULANI HERDSMEN:  “We are dismayed by the inaction of the Federal Government to the carnage and destruction caused by the Fulani herdsmen against native, ethnic land owners and farmers across the country….till today there has been no prosecution of these marauders. For years, the Fulani herdsmen have been murdering innocent Nigerians with impunity.”
Even though Mr. President is now speaking out against them, he needs to match words with action, because even as he was speaking, recently, the blood-thirsty herdsmen were slaughtering scores of people in their homesteads in Kodomum Town Demsa LGA of Adamawa State, and recently Chambe and Anawah Settlements of Gaambe-Tiev, Logo LGA of Benue State on 9/7/2016.   Surprisingly the Police Commissioner of the State was busy denying the incident, saying it was not reported to them, (CAN News 10/8/2016).
PRAYER POINT:  Oh Lord, change the hearts of these murderous herdsmen, or else, judge them.
10. GRAZING ROUTES AND RESERVES:  We heard that this proposal has been dropped by the President, but who proposed it in the first place? “The Grazing Reserve proposal was seen as a deceptive manner of appropriating the lands of indigenous ethnic groups for the Fulani herdsmen (the 4th most dangerous terror group in the world, according to UN rating) to spread their tentacles of terror all over the nation.  (Reference Independent Newspaper 18th Nov. 2015).
PRAYER POINT:  Oh Lord, stop this Bill, and secure the Land of your people.
11. NATIONAL CONFERENCE 17TH MARCH 2014 REJECTION BY THE PRESIDENCY:  The Conference made salient recommendations to ensure that power rotates to the six key geo-political regions in the country, and that no one region or tribe dominates the others. But President Buhari says that the conference decisions and recommendations are irrelevant, and should be consigned to the archives, (Vanguard 4th June 2016).
This conference was attended by very responsible leaders drawn from all parts of the country who deliberated for many months before arriving at the conclusions.
PRAYER POINT:  Oh Lord, let justice and equity prevail in Nigeria.
RECOMMENDED ACTION-STEPS
1. We request President Muhammadu Buhari, in the interest of fairness,  justice,  and equity, to retrace his steps in his Islamization Agenda. We also ask that he should suspend his War Against Indiscipline Agenda because many suspect itmight be an undercover for persecution of those who oppose his present sectional policies.
2. In case this becomes difficult for him to do, we urge our Representatives in the States’ Houses of Assembly and in the Federal House of Representative, and in the House of Senate to raise queries on some of the actions so far taken by the President, and to vote down every obnoxious Bill and all proposals inimical to non-Muslims and the nation’s peace.
3. Nigerians should seek redress in Law courts and obtain judgment against all acts of injustice.  WHERE ARE THE CHRISTIAN SANs?  We should also use our constitutional rights at the right time to vote out both corrupt individuals, and those who won’t guarantee our freedom of worship.
4. We shun violence, but stand strongly in the power of Prayers to change men and things.
5. We stand for one Nigeria where every sector, tribe, individual and his religion is respected.
6. We pledge our loyalty and submission to our President, Muhammadu Buhari, but OUR ULTIMATE LOYALTY IS TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD, WHO GAVE HIS LIFE FOR THE WORLD, RECONCILED US TO GOD BY HIS DEATH, AND JUSTIFIED US AND GAVE US ETERNAL LIFE BY HIS RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD, THE ONLY POTENTATE AND KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS, forever reigning with the Father in heaven and over all the earth.  To Him alone be glory and honour forever and ever.  Amen!  And may He, by His Holy Spirit, convict men of Righteousness, and of Sin, and of coming eternal Judgment.  Amen!
CHURCH ARISE IN PRAYERS, FASTINGS AND REPENTANCE!
It is unfortunate that many church leaders (especially the big denominational leaders) have chosen to keep quiet at this critical time. This is a time when we had expected (as in the book of Joel) for the Church Leaders and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN)  to arise and  call for every Christian to cry out to God in Fastings and Prayers  to seek His intervention, and for us to repent from all our sins.  (PLEASE, YOU CAN STILL CALL THE ENTIRE CHURCH TO DO SO!!).  Meanwhile, since they have delayed in arising and doing what they should do, stones are now crying out.
WE HEREBY CALL ON CHRISTIANS EVERYWHERE TO ARISE WITH ONE ACCORD TO REPENT FROM OUR MANY SINS AND CRY OUT TO GOD WITH A 3-days or 1-Week Fasting and Prayers and Repentance, as the Lord enables you. God is mighty in deed when His people acknowledge and repent from their sins, and cry out to Him for His deliverance (2 Chron 7:14).
Pray that God will change the heart of the President of Nigeria, Mr Muhammadu Buhari,  that he may not be a Pharaoh or Herod to the Church.  Pray that God will change his heart as He did to Saul, whom He converted to Apostle Paul.

MATTERS FOR REPENTANCE
• Let us repent from our excessive “Prosperity” and “Breakthrough” Preachings, without commensurate Preaching on “Holiness” and “Righteousness”. We have coated the gospel with untempered mortar, and covered festering wounds with white bandage.  GOD IS CALLING HIS CHURCH TO REPENTANCE AND TRUE HOLINESS.
• Let us put off all superfluity of naughtiness and be sober.
• Let Us stop our immoral living, and sanctify ourselves with the Blood of Christ, with the Word of God, and by the Spirit of God.
• Let us cast off every garment of filthiness and put on the garment of truth, humility, and fear of God.  WE ARE CALLING FOR LONG-TERM CHANGE OF LIVES AND CHARACTER, NOT SHORT-TERM CROCODILE TEARS, OR COSMETIC CHANGES. Let’s mean business with God, turn to Him with all our hearts, and see what He will do for His people.
• Let All Nigerian Christians choose any one of these FASTS, as you may find suitable:
i) 3-Day Total Fast (without Food, with or without water). Esther’s fast saved her,  and the Jews from Haman’s occultism and intended slaughter (Book of Esther), or,
ii)   3-Day Fast (6am – 6pm)  ( for those who are not used to fasting), or,
iii) 7-Day Fast (6am – 6pm).
The most important aspect is to Pray and Repent from our besetting and familiar sins. Cry out to God Cry out to God to save you and your family, the church, and the nation.
PLEASE LET’S OBSERVE THIS FAST IN THIS MONTH OF AUGUST 2016 AND EARLY SEPTEMBER, and see what God will do for our nation, and especially for the Church of God in Nigeria.  You may repeat the fasts as often as needed, until things change for the better for the church and for the nation.  Pastors, please create awareness, and institute a FAST for your churches, nationwide.  START NOW, whether as individuals, families, or as a church.
PLEASE DO IT SOON,  YOU DO NOT NEED ANYBODY’S PERMISSION TO FAST UNTO THE LORD GOD FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS TO RETURN TO THE NATION AND FOR GOD TO DELIVER THE CHURCH FROM EVIL.  We cannot afford to relax or become complacent based on assurances from Pastors or politicians who have been to Aso Rock…  Our Reassurance will be based only on the President’s reversal of the unfair actions he has already taken, and his future actions which must be just and fair to all Nigerians.
The Church right now is in dire straits, and God expects you to pray and seek His face (2Chron 7:14). If you don’t, if we don’t, things could get worse, and it could become too late ….  Remember, we are at the end-times.  WE EXPECT YOU AND MILLIONS OF NIGERIANS TO HEED THIS CALL TO PRAY, THIS MONTH OF AUGUST 2016, AND SUBSEQUENTLY.  Please, don’t love food so much that you refuse to fast and pray.  God is watching to see your response to this distress call for the soul of our nation, and the welfare of His church.
Pray for Peace to reign in our nation, with Righteousness and Truth, and that Freedom of Worship will remain in Nigeria.
God bless you! Amen!
By Christians Committed to Christ, and Concerned for Freedom of Worship in Nigeria.
